The printer I believe is more suitable for families is the Lexmark X342n MFP. Though it is more expensive it contains multi functions, such as it is a scanner, photocopier, fax machine and printer. It contains 64MB of memory, whilst the other printer only contains 2MB. It can print on transparencies, labels, plain paper, card stocks and envelopes. It has a guaranty two year warranty and can print up to 25 pages per minute. I believe that the printer is suitable, because often family's contain teenage kids, and teenage kids these days recieve a lot of assignments which need to be done and printed out at a high standard, which I believe that this printer can do.
